The world of words and languages has become an integral part of her life.

She has been an official translator and interpreter for 23 years and a lawyer and notary public for 20. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poetry and short stories, and she reads everything from fiction to current affairs in both Spanish and English. She loves to travel locally and abroad, learning about Costa Rica and other fascinating places in the world.

A constant learner, she obtained a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Costa Rica and a bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad de la Salle. She later earned a master's degree in project management from Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in linguistics from the University of Costa Rica and serves as a reviewer for the university’s Journal of Modern Languages in the field of translation. She also graduated from the University of Salamanca’s program on Artificial Intelligence and Law and continues to take refresher courses both domestically and internationally.

She is a teacher by vocation and has taught courses in the translation program at several private universities in the country, such as Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT) and Universidad Internacional de las Américas (UIA). Furthermore, she has been invited as a guest speaker by the program in translation at the University of Costa Rica and Universidad Nacional. She is a recognized official translator for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica, specializing in Spanish and German. Her passion for languages is the key to her success as a translator from German to Spanish with a focus on economic and legal texts.

When not working, she enjoys exploring new destinations and immersing herself in different cultures. The practice of yoga has offered her a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nonetheless, time spent with her family is what she values most. They are her greatest source of inspiration and support.

This exciting journey in the world of languages began at the prestigious Sprachen & Dolmetscher Institut in Munich, Germany, where she honed her translation and interpretation skills. In addition, she holds a technical degree in human resources from the University of Costa Rica, giving her a unique perspective when translating documents related to labor and employment.

Her inquisitive and restless nature has constantly driven her to seek and identify areas and opportunities for professional growth. She has actively participated in education and training courses both in the country and abroad. One of the more recent highlights of her continuous quest for knowledge was her successful completion of an intensive interpreting course at the FTSK Uni Mainz Summer School in Germersheim in October 2023.

With many years of experience working with renowned German institutions such as Beiersdorf, Goethe Institute, BASF, Dresdner Bank, and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, she is highly adept at immersing herself in the complexities of economic and legal texts.
